2011  CSChE Silver Medal Award Winner

This years Canadian Society Chemical Engineering Silver Medal Award Winner is Sean Sullivan.  Congratulations Sean for attaining the highest standing in the penultimate year in the Chemical Engineering Program. 

Dr. Paul Amyotte, P.Eng.,
Receives the 2010 Professor Appreciation Award 

The graduating class of 2010 nominated Dr. Paul Amyotte, P.Eng, for the Chemical Engineering Annual Professor Appreciation Award.  The plaque can be viewed in the Chemical Engineering Building.

2009/2010

Leader. Volunteer. Mentor. Fourth-year chemical engineering student Kaitlyn McNutt embodies all of these.

Because of her dedication to her studies and community, Ms. McNutt has been named one of the top five engineering students in Canada by the Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation (CEMF). The honour is part of the CEMF scholarship given to stand-out women who inspire others.

Congratulations go to two of our 3rd year Chemical Engineering students for their Nova Scotia Power energy conservation ideas award on Monday Feb 11th, 2008. 

In a student contest, Battle of the Bright Ideas, Nova Scotia Power Inc. challenged students to recommend how Nova Scotians can conserve energy through conservation and energy efficiency in their homes.

Second Place went to Kelli McGean and Kaitlyn McNutt for 'reducing phantom power lads used by home electronics with the use of an universal remote'.
